Monday morning report, Jan. 4

Five things to know this Monday morning:

1.) In case you didn't hear, Downey's float, "Exploring the Everglades," won the Founder's Trophy at the Tournament of Roses Parade on Friday. Here is a full list of winners.

The float is now parked outside the Embassy Suites, where it will remain for the next couple of days.

2.) Baby girl Victoria Lily was the first baby to be born at PIH Hospital in Downey in 2016. She entered the world at 5:05 p.m.

3.) TV news reporter and Downey native Suzanne Marques has announced she is pregnant. And it's a boy.

4.) I don't understand this promo video from Financial Partners. Like, at all.
