Five things to know this Monday morning:

1.) The Downey Theatre is hosting a free animal magic show at 2:30 p.m. today. No tickets are required, and doors open at 2.

2.) The Downey Library, in collaboration with Lock and Key Social Drinkery, is hosting a beer education and tasting seminar. Must be 21 or older with a valid ID.

3.) A corner property at 8105 2nd St. in downtown Downey is for sale. Asking price is $719,000. Click here for a virtual tour.

4.) Baker Rauli, the robot sculpture created by Cristian Castro for Porto's Bakery, is moving from Downey, at least temporarily.

According to Stay Gallery, the robot is being loaned to the Porto's in Burbank for four months, before heading to the Glendale store. After Glendale, he will return to Downey for permanent residency.

5.) The city would like to remind residents that anyone caught with illegal fireworks faces a minimum $2,000 fine for a first offense.

Second offense fines are $2,500, and subsequent fines reach $3,000.

Any fireworks that fly into the air are illegal.
