Monday morning report, May 16

Five things to know this Monday morning:

1.) KTLA discovers Pop's Cafe in the latest edition of "Burrous' Bites."

2.) Not to be outdone, Porto's Bakery gets a prominent mention from the ABC-7 morning show. (I wonder if these places pay for the shout outs?)

3.) A delegation of Downey police officers returns from Washington, D.C. today.

The group traveled to our nation's capitol to pay respect to Ricky Galvez at the 35th annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service.

The police department's Facebook page has several photos and thoughtful remembrances.

4.) A man wearing a yellow safety vest is being accused online of stealing flowers from the median at Firestone and Paramount boulevards.

5.) Check out this cool crosswalk Bellflower installed in its downtown.
