Monday morning report, Oct. 5

Five things to know this Monday morning: 

1.) SEAACA reportedly took in 22 dogs Saturday and is "extremely overcrowded right now," according to the Facebook page Friends of SEAACA Animals

Many animals can be adopted for only $5. 

2.) Movita Juice Bar, located in the Gallatin center next to Ralph's, is now open. 

The juice bar was formerly a smoke shop. 

3.) Joseph's Bar & Grill has been testing a breakfast menu and it goes live this Saturday. 

4.) Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis has its golf tournament today at Rio Hondo Golf Club. The dinner program begins at 5:30 p.m. and is $40. 

5.) Larry Dale McKee, a former actor with the Downey Children's Theatre, reportedly died last Friday of a heart attack.
