Tuesday morning report, Feb. 2

Five things to know this Tuesday morning:

1.) Gangs Out of Downey meets at 7:30 a.m. in the second floor training room at City Hall.

2.) The City Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. today to discuss their 2016 priorities. The meeting will take place at the Rio Hondo Event Center.

3.) If you're interested in Downey history, check out this article about Berkeley Square. It includes good information about Downey and its early aviation history.

Thanks Larry Latimer for the link.

4.) Harmony, a 1-year-old silver and gray domestic long hair, is SEAACA's Pet of the Week.

Harmony (ID No. 16-14472) is already spayed. She is calm, mellow and loves to cuddle.

To adopt her, visit SEAACA during animal viewing hours.

5.) The Downey Council PTA is making news for its friendly membership competition.
