Tuesday morning report, May 3

Five things to know this Tuesday morning: 

1.) Gangs Out of Downey meets at 7:45 a.m. today in the second floor training room of City Hall. The group is select its leadership team for the 2016-17 year. 


2.) PIH Health is having a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bloodmobile will be parked in the northeast corner of the Critical Care Center. 

Walk-ins are welcome. All donors will receive a $10 Starbucks or In-N-Out gift card. 


3.) Lesley Borjoquez singled in the winning run in extra innings as Warren High's softball team beat La Serna, 5-4, yesterday to sweep the La Mirada Classic


4.) Old River Elementary took the Carnival of Champions on Saturday. It was their third consecutive year as champion. 


5.) Streetsblog L.A. has a positive review of Sunday's Ride & Stride.
