Tuesday morning report, May 31

Five things to know this Tuesday morning:

1.) The man who led police on a hours-long pursuit through Downey and other Gateway Cities yesterday has been identified as 32-year-old Gilbert Barajas.

Barajas was allegedly driving a stolen Kia SUV when he failed to pull over for a South Gate police officer. The ensuing chase traveled over several freeways and finally ended more than two hours later when Barajas rolled to a stop on the 405 Freeway in Long Beach.

2.) Hard to believe the Downey Greek Festival is this weekend. Here is a commercial they're running on Armenian TV.

3.) Bellflower is having a city-wide ice cream social this Saturday, with more than 20 neighborhoods signed up for the block parties.

All the ice cream is provided, you just supply your own toppings.
