Wednesday morning report, June 3

Five things to know this Wednesday morning:

1.) Thousands of dollars in scholarships will be presented at Warren High's Senior Awards Night tonight. Ceremonies begin at 7 p.m. at the Downey Theatre, and admission is free.

2.) Speaking of Warren High, above is a cool video comparing the campus from 1973 to today. The video is nearly two years old but is starting to make its way around Facebook.

3.) Warren High's class of 1995 will host its 20-year reunion Aug. 22 at the Renaissance Long Beach.

The first 35 tickets are $99; after those are sold, tickets are $109.

Tickets must be purchased in advance from ReunionDB.com. No tickets will be sold at the door. For questions, email warrenhighschoolclassof1995@gmail.com, or find the group on Facebook.

4.) Downey resident Mary Catharine Blomgren passed away May 26 at age 89.

She was born Dec. 15, 1925 in New York City. A full obituary will appear in this week's issue.

5.) For sale: a vintage, full-size Road Runner arcade game. It's part of a massive estate sale this weekend. Craigslist
