1.) The oldest operating McDonald's is getting a fresh coat of paint.


2.) The Exchange Club Family Support Center, a Downey-based agency that works to stop child abuse, is hosting a 25th anniversary celebration this Friday starting at 6 p.m. in the Rio Hondo Event Center.

5.) The Downey Police Department is warning residents about IRS phone scams. 

"Scammers prey on victims by saying they owe the IRS money. They insist victims pay immediately through a pre-loaded credit card or wire transfer to avoid arrest, deportation or suspension of driver’s or business license."
