CITY OF DOWNEY
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED SITE PLAN REVIEW
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the DOWNEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION on the 5th day of October, 2016, at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber of the Downey City Hall, 11111 Brookshire Avenue, Downey, California. At that time and place, consideration will be given to the following:
PLN-16-00038 (Site Plan Review) – A request to construct six-unit apartment building on a vacant 10,500 square foot lot (.24 acres). The development will include a 13,566 square foot, three-story building with units ranging in size from 1,770 to 1,943 square feet (not including garages), and on-site landscaping for property located at 8117 Second Street and zoned DDSP (Downtown Downey Specific Plan – Downtown Residential District).
All interested parties are invited to submit written comments and/or to attend and give testimony. The staff report, which provides a detailed description and analysis of this project, will be posted to the City’s website (http://www.downeyca.org/gov/cd/planning/planning_commission.asp)on the Friday prior to the public hearing.
As required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), this request has been found to be Categorically Exempt from CEQA, per CEQA Guideline, Section 15332 (Class 32, In-Fill Developments).
If you challenge the proposed actions in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or prior to, the public hearing.
