City Hall to light up tree

DOWNEY – The city of Downey will host its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall on Monday.

The free event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. The actual tree lighting will occur at 6:30 p.m.

Local schools will provide entertainment. There will also be arts and crafts for children, a snow play area, a raffle, and a visit from Santa Claus.

Food and refreshments will be sold by the Downey Rose Float Association.
