The city that gave birth to Taco Bell and which is home to the oldest operating McDonald’s as well as Johnies, Pete’s Patio, El Taco, Uncle Henry’s, Guadalajara—I could on and on—seems like a natural fit. Downey couldn’t be any better situated for pot dispensaries if its motto was “Downey: Future, and Cool Ranch Doritos, Unlimited.”
The Planning Commission recommended a ban on pot dispensaries last week.

Almost 35 years later, I can imagine a US/CA/Local Gov. that is proactive and learns from the past and from the free market. Let's legilize marijuana! Let's have a variety legal products that you can buy and pay tax on and drive the illegal trade out! Crime will go down! Were fueling the chaos in Mexico by buying thier product! That's not cool!!
If pot was grown on a large scale, I mean big, just like the fruits and veggies that are currently grown in the central valley for the entire World to buy and enjoy, can't you then see the result? A day when we have the State/ County/Local Books balanced, Really Great Schools and Community Social Programs, Sports Programs. How about more Music Programs in the Schools,,,How about Road Repair?? Healthcare??We need to keep the money this side of the boarder people!!
I imagine this could happen in my lifetime, exhale, I hope this not just stoned thinking!
