Depressed flags

Dear Editor:All places that fly the American flag should take care of the flag or replace it with a new one.

The flag at the post office on Imperial Highway in Downey looks terrible. Also, the Old River Elementary School flag is the worst I have seen in my life. It is so worn and sun-bleached that there are no stars on the flag.

All Americans should show respect for our flag. Mike Sandoval Downey
