Mary D. Fuller-Brown-Reed

Mary D. Fuller-Brown-Reed, 85, passed away into the Lord's hands on Jan. 25, 2013. Mary was born in Columbus, Arkansas to Sharper Witherspoon and Thelma Jefferson and was married three times.Mary graduated from high school in the 1940s, and received a certificate from the Early Childhood Teaching Program from Glendale Community College in 1996. Following 27 years with the Mattel Toy Company in Downey, California and Kraft/Nabisco Foods in California and Arizona, she retired to Phoenix, Arizona. Mary loved to travel and lived throughout California, New York, Illinois and Arizona. Always polished and with a great sense of humor, she enjoyed the company of an abundance of relatives, friends and coworkers throughout her lifetime. Mary spent many holidays and special occasions with her sister, Lennie, and her cherished nieces, nephews and cousins, often traveling with them. And she filled her home with treasured pictures of family and friends. Moving to northeastern Arizona in her retirement years, Mary enjoyed the company of friends in Heber, Eagar and Payson. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; her son, Archie, a nephew, a niece, and a grandniece. She is survived by and will be truly missed by her sister, Lennie, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 8 grand nephews, 6 grandnieces; 1 great grandnephew; 2 great grandnieces, and a host of special cousins, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held from 4-6 p.m. on March 30, 2013, in Los Angeles, California, at the 88th Street Temple Church of God in Christ located at 8825 S. Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles, CA 90044. Flowers for the Celebration of Life Memorial Service can be sent to the church. Condolences can be mailed to P.O. Box 36568, Phoenix, AZ 85067.
