Sister cities fundraiser at space center

DOWNEY - The Downey Sister Cities Association, which recently negotiated on Downey's behalf to become sister cities with Roscommon, Ireland, is hosting a fundraiser April 6 at the Columbia Memorial Space Center.The DSCA is raising money to send a Downey delegation to Ireland later this year. Roscommon, Ireland is the birthplace of John Gately Downey, after which this city is named. The April 6 fundraiser is from 4-9 p.m. Cost is $50 per person or $500 for a table.
