Downey AYSO girls All-Star U12 soccer team

The Downey AYSO girls All-Star U12 soccer team went undefeated in the AYSO Area 11 Section All-Star Playoff Tournament held Feb. 15-16 at Chapman Sports Complex in Garden Grove. Downey defeated Irvine, 3-0, and La Habra, 2-0, on Feb. 15 and beat El Cajon, 2-0, on Sunday to advance to the championship game against Garden Grove. The Downey team defeated Garden Grove, 3-1, to win the championship.

The Downey team is now hoping to play well in the upcoming state championship tournament.
