L.A. County Fire offering exam seminars

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County Fire Department is hosting a series of seminars starting this month to help interested candidates prepare for its upcoming firefighter trainee examination this summer.The seminar is presented by expert members of the department's human resources and firefighter training teams. It will be offered three times in each of the department's three operational regions across L.A. County, for a total of nine presentations. The first seminar is scheduled to take place this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Western University in Pomona. Additional dates and locations are being scheduled and will be released later. The comprehensive seminars cover a wide range of information, including introduction to the fire service, recruit and probationary firefighter expectations, written test preparation, oral interview preparation, introduction to the background check process, health and fitness, and Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT).
