DOWNEY – The Aerospace Legacy Foundation (ALF) will hold an auction at the Columbia Memorial Space Center on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 2-5 p.m. Money raised from the auction will help fund projects such as aerospace history preservation, picture and document archiving, and education and scholarship funding.
Auction items include memorabilia from the Apollo and Shuttle eras; space art; rare signed and unsigned books from Springer Press; signed items from authors; and more.
SpaceX and other organizations have donated auction items as well.
Auction items are still being collected and can be viewed on ALF’s Facebook and Pinterest pages. Emailed bids are also accepted, and should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12 p.m. on Sept. 25.
The auction is open to the public but limited to 48 people in the space center’s Theatre Room. Admission is free.
