Bell to host its first Art Walk

BELL – The inaugural Southeast L.A. Art Walk, featuring live music, art, vendors, and more, is happening this Saturday from 2-8 p.m. at the corner of Atlantic and Gage avenues in Bell. Sponsored by the Southeast Los Angeles Collective and the city of Bell, the event will showcase more than 30 artists reflecting a diverse selection of mediums, styles and trends in the area.

Local artists from Downey are scheduled to participate.

A performance stage will feature live music and spoken word, including a 6 p.m. recital by Alivio Open Mic, a “garage salon” recently profiled in the Los Angeles Times.

There will also be community workshops, business art exhibits, arts and crafts, and more.
