NORWALK – Cerritos College has announced it’s become an Apple-authorized training center. Steven Hirohama, associate professor of theatre and film, is an Apple certified trainer and will be teaching the new Apple curriculum in conjunction with another video editing textbook.
Students who enroll in Hirohama’s motion picture editing class (FILM 107) will have the option of taking the Apple Final Cut Pro certification exam for a fee.
“The certification would give students the distinction of being an Apple Certified Pro for Final Cut Pro,” Hirohama said. “Having this ‘pro’ certification could make a difference for students to distinguish themselves from others and in building credibility with clients and employers.”
