Chamber golf tournament Oct. 8

DOWNEY – The Downey Chamber of Commerce will host its 18th annual golf tournament Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Rio Hondo Golf Club. “Fun, fun, fun is the name of the game for this tournament, all in the name of helping our veterans return to the workplace with on-the-job training,” said the chamber’s events manager, Mia Vasquez.

In addition to golf, the event will include a barbecue lunch, a Mexican buffet dinner, and contests such as beer pong for extra raffle tickets.
