Drug take-back event Sept. 27

DOWNEY – Residents can safely dispose of expired, unused or unwanted prescription medications at a drug take-back event Saturday, Sept. 27, outside the Downey Police Department. Police personnel and volunteers will be collecting medicine from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prescription and over-the-counter medicine can be dropped off, but sharps and needles will not be accepted.

All medications will be incinerated by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
