FC Long Beach U10 boys team

FC Long Beach U10 boys team won the championship at the Newport Meza Classic Soccer Tournament held Memorial Day weekend. Downey High School assistant soccer coach Ian McFadyen led the boys to a 2-1 victory over Striker soccer club Mission Viejo. Both goals were assisted by Tony Robledo, also from Downey. Pictured are Tony, team midfielder, and his grandpa, Jose Rico, both Downey residents.
