Parks have spring break programs

DOWNEY – Children ages 6-12 can spend their spring break at Downey parks, a free daily program from 12-5 p.m. Kids will enjoy an outdoor program that includes lunch with the leader (bring your own lunch), arts and crafts, and other outdoor activities.

Children can come and go as they wish, but are encouraged to stay at the park sites.

Participating parks include Apollo, Dennis the Menace, Golden and Rio San Gabriel.

Registration is required and can be completed at participating parks Monday at noon. Sign-ups will be accepted until the program is filled.
