Author pens baseball book

WHITTIER - Whittier resident Patrick Rockenbach has released a new novel, "Double A Blues," an inside look at professional baseball and the lengths one man will go to achieve his dream.The story introduces readers to Zach Fredericks, who has spent his entire life dreaming of becoming a Major League Baseball player, and everything has gone according to plan until now. About to start his third year with the Birmingham Barons, a minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, if he doesn't move up to the next level this year it could mean the end of his dream. Zach's best friend, Manny, tells him to be patient and involve himself with something other than baseball, but he won't listen, sure that any change from the plan will only hurt him. He is not about to let that happen and will do whatever it takes to keep his dream alive. But how far will he go? Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available at bookstores nationwide and on Amazon.com. Rockenbach received his B.A. in communication from Cal State Fullerton. He has worked in the financial industry for 24 years.
