Cheer clinic for kids

DOWNEY - Downey High School cheerleaders will conduct their annual cheer clinic this Saturday in the campus gym from 8 a.m. to noon.Boys and girls ages 5-13 can participate. Participants will learn game action cheers and perform at halftime of the Sept. 20 varsity football game at Downey High. Cost is $30 and includes a Downey High cheer T-shirt and two tickets to the football game. To register, call Janet Minnig at (562) 923-5883.
