Flag footballs sign-ups

DOWNEY - The Downey Junior Athletic Association is hosting sign-ups Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Apollo Park for flag football.The league is open to kids as young as 4 up to eighth grade. When registering, parents should bring their child's birth certificate, last report card and $75 cash for league fees. Other registration dates are Sept. 18 from 6-8 p.m. and Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon, also at Apollo Park. For more details, call (562) 879-0919 or go online to djaainfo.org.
