Forum set to discuss healthcare reform

DOWNEY - A community seminar on the Affordable Care Act and how it affects you will be held Oct. 15 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center.The forum will cover new health insurance options, changes to Medicare and Medi-Cal, financial help to buy health insurance, and more. Attendees who want to sign up for health insurance should bring their social security number, income information (such as a W-2) and their last income tax filing. The seminar is hosted by Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, Assemblymember Cristina Garcia and the city of Downey. Spanish translation will be available through headsets.
