Grill maker opening in Downey

DOWNEY - Lynx Grills Inc., an industry leader in high-end outdoor kitchens and grilling equipment, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday for its new 120,000 sq. ft. facility in Downey.Lynx Grills recently relocated from Commerce to a state-of-the-art facility in Downey, bringing with it about 200 jobs. Over the next three years, Lynx expects to double its workforce to more than 400 employees. "The city of Downey is an ideal location for Lynx because of its proximity to transportation hubs and access to a talented and educated workforce," said Lynx CEO James Buch. "We look forward to many productive years at our new factory." "Downey is a business-friendly city and we are always eager and excited to welcome new businesses to town," added Mayor Mario Guerra. "New businesses mean new jobs and new opportunities for our community. We extend a warm welcome to Lynx Grills and thank you for making Downey your new home." The ribbon cutting is open to the public and begins at 10:30 a.m. Lynx Grills is located at 7300 Flores St.
