New flags

Dear Editor: After doing business at the post office that is located on Imperial Highway in Downey, I noticed the American flag and the California flag at the Bank of America across the street were very sun-bleached and looked awful.

After many weeks of seeing the flags, I decided to talk to the bank manager. Miss Berumen agreed they needed new ones and said she would order new flags.

After three or four weeks, the new flags are up. They are bigger and better material. They look terrific!

Thank you, Miss Berumen, and BofA for our new flags.
