PIH Downey in need of volunteers

DOWNEY - PIH Health is seeking adult volunteers to help its newly-acquired Downey hospital.Volunteers will interact with patients in a non-clinical manner, work alongside hospital staff and serve with other volunteers in a team atmosphere. The volunteer program requires scheduling flexibility, a variety of assignments and "a chance to put current skills to use or acquire new ones." "Volunteering is a good opportunity for retired baby boomers," hospital officials said. "By sharing their time, experience, knowledge and skills, volunteers can help PIH Health achieve its goal of providing superior healthcare to the community."
