Taste of Downey next Thursday

DOWNEY - Downey's fourth annual Taste of Downey food and wine festival takes place next Thursday, Sept. 19, from 5:30-9 p.m. along Downey Avenue in the downtown district.For $20, ticket-holders receive 10 "tastes" to their choice of participating restaurants, including Bionicos Express, The Palms Steak and Seafood, Florida, Bob's Big Boy, Johnny Carino's Italian, Elephant Bar, Firestone Grill, Frantone's Pizza and Spaghetti Villa, Fresh Cutt Carving Grill, Green Olive, Habana Cafe, Hacker's Sports Bar and Grill, La Barca Grill & Cantina, Maria's Grill, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, Narai Thai, Olive Garden, Pacific Fish Grill, Papa John's Pizza, Porto's Bakery, Starbucks, and Two for Tango. Tickets can be purchased at the event or in advance at City Hall, the Downey Theatre box office or the senior center.
