DOWNEY - Downey Ponytail Softball recently installed its new officers for the 2008-09 season. President Mike Hemsath returns for his second term.

Ponytail is currently entering its fall season. Spring sign-ups will begin in December with tryouts in January.

This past summer, the High School Division finished first to be named ASA National Champions in Aurora, Colo. The 14-U division placed seventh.

Approximately 500 girls ranging in age from 5 to 18 participate in the league.
