DOWNEY – The Joyful Singers, an ensemble of mixed voices, is seeking additional singers to join its group.

Tenors, basses and baritones are particularly sought to join the 4- and 5-part harmonies.

The Joyful Singers have performed for the OASIS group at Downey Adult School and at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cerritos. They have also performed short concerts in Downey, Bellflower and Cerritos.

The group rehearses a varied repertoire of new compositions, show tunes, classics and oldies at a private home in Bellflower on Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m.

The ability to read music is a plus, but not required. There is no fee to join.
