Ralph and Jeanette Granata, owners of Granata's Italian Villa on Downey Avenue, have been named grand marshals of the Holiday Lane Parade on Dec. 6.

The Granatas opened their restaurant in 1955, which was originally located at Paramount and Alameda.

"I feel honored," Ralph says of being named grand marshal. "I appreciate it. But I'm not a big shot."

Jeanette said, "I'm scared to death."

Lawrence Christon interviewed the Granatas and wrote a story on behalf of Marsha Moode. The article will appear in the Patriot on Friday.
