CARSON - Award-winning novelist Susan Straight will deliver a lecture at Cal State Dominguez Hills on April 12.The event is free and open to the public. Straight's lecture begins at 7 p.m. in the Loker Student Union Ballroom. Born, raised and still residing in Riverside, Straight has authored numerous short stories and essays, and seven novels. Her latest novel, "Take One Candle Light a Room," was named one of the best novels of 2010 by the Washington Post and the L.A. Times.
