Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and 60 other L.A. County mayors met at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey this past Monday, where they discussed public safety, immigration, housing and other regional issues. “It was a great pleasure welcoming Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and other fellow mayors to our city, as it allowed the opportunity for us to interact and address issues that directly affect our communities,” said Downey Mayor Luis Marquez. “We were proud to host this event at our very own Columbia Memorial Space Center – a true gem in our city – and we were glad to have shared a little bit about what makes Downey special.”
