Dear Editor:Last week, Brian David Mitchell was found guilty for kidnapping and raping Elizabeth Smart. The sentence will not be read until May 2011. What is so difficult about deciding what the punishment should be, that it would take more than five months?‚Äà A limit of time should be set not to exceed 30 days. -- Mike Sandoval, Downey
