Dear Editor:Last week, while listening to the news, I learned the California Legislature Group in Sacramento is getting approximately a $5K yearly raise in pay. The governor is going to get approximately a $10K yearly raise in pay. I received letters from Social Security the other day advising my wife that starting the beginning of 2014 she was going to receive an additional raise of $144 a year and in my letter from them I learned my Social Security will increase by an additional $300 a year. This means our yearly income will increase by a whopping $444 a year or $37 a month. It's great being a taxpayer and being in the group known as the little "people" of America. David Abney Downey
