Downey cardiologist named 'Super Doctor'

DOWNEY - Dr. Jerry Floro, a board certified cardiologist who practices out of Downey and Lakewood, has been named a 2013 Southern California "Super Doctor" by Los Angeles Magazine.The magazine's January issue features the top 5 percent of doctors in Los Angeles and Orange counties as determined through peer nominations, a blue ribbon panel review process and independent research. Ballots were mailed to more than 30,000 doctors throughout Southern California. It is the fourth consecutive year Floro has earned the "Super Doctor" designation. Floro received his undergraduate degree from USC and attended medical school at Vanderbilt University. He completed his training at Vanderbilt and Harbor General-UCLA Medical Center. He practices out of Pioneer Medical Group's Downey and Lakewood offices.
