25th annual Los Angeles Archdiocese Academic Junior High Decathlon

The St. Raymond academic decathlon team brought home four medals after competing in the 25th annual Los Angeles Archdiocese Academic Junior High Decathlon on March 7 at the L.A. Sports Arena. Competing against 115 schools, the St. Raymond team earned four individual medals (pictured above, left to right): Rachel Javier (9th place, English); Alyssa Nevarez (10th place, Literature); Paula Zepeda (4th place, Religion); and HIlda Barraza (9th place, Current Events).

Other team members included Andrew Nevarez, James Colom, Matthew Morales, Isaiah Gomez, Jeremy Bohol, Catalina Bayardo and David Gonzalez, along with coaches Ms. Buckner and Ms. Larson.
