Karma is not real! But contrary to belief it’s as real as oxygen and gravity. According to Wikipedia, karma is the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).

Let’s try an experiment: Imagine in your hands a beautifully crafted boomerang. It's color your favorite. The patterns and curves right on point. You’re at a park surrounded by luscious trees stretching to the heavens. The grass is oh so green and fluffy. Birds fill the sky with song as the sun shines upon you.

You throw your boomerang into the picturesque landscape. You can see from afar how it glides, gently cutting through the air as it folds and makes its way back to you with a greater force than what you launched it with. Doesn’t this feel so perfect and gratifying? Something that you love so much keeps coming back to you over and over.

Now, let’s change the scenery. You still have a boomerang only this one isn’t your favorite color. The curves are a bit uneven. Its pattern not what you like. The park you decided to go to has no tress or grass. A gloomy day outdoors with no birds chirping high above.

And there it goes, your boomerang into the unflattering landscape with its unfavorable shape and colors. You see it swerve and curve back to you. Stay in this moment for a few seconds. Take in this scenery and compare it to the first panorama. Doesn’t this feel perfect or gratifying? Why is it that something you dislike so much keeps coming back to you over and over!

Let’s put all of this jibber jabber into simplified terms. The boomerang represents our thoughts, words and actions. Whatever boomerang we choose to sling is exactly what we are putting out into our existence. When the boomerang curves its way back to us is perfectly embodied as the representation of Karma. What we choose to sling out in thoughts, words or actions will come back to us multiplied whether we believe in this or not.

Karma is not just of the eastern traditions. It has been written and spoken of throughout time. And even in science community!

“Newton's third law is: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The statement means that in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the forces on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object. “

“The Golden Rule: So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12”
