Ava Miranda crowned Miss Downey

DOWNEY – Ava Miranda was crowned Miss Downey 2024 at the Downey Rose Float Association’s 67th annual Miss Downey Pageant on Saturday, October 21 at the Downey Theatre.

Her court includes Aliyah Dubon, Czarina Kinshasa, Miah Mount and Molly Newman.

Madison Vega was crowned Miss Teen Downey. Teen princesses include Alyssa Estrada, Aleezah Mackewicz and Melanie Silva.

The title of Junior Miss Downey went to Leilah Simonian. Her court includes Sophia Anaya, Gianna Otto and Emmarie Perez.

Kirsi Newman was crowned Little Miss Downey. Little princesses include Aubrey Cedillo and Erika Estrada.

This year the Downey Rose Float Association re-introduced the Mr. Downey Pageant on the same night, Mr Downey Sam Sarofeem, Mr Teen Downey Konstandinos Politis, Junior Mr Downey Carmelo Jones and Little Mr Downey Hunter Wolf.

“We are extremely proud to have been hosting the Miss Downey Pageant for 67 years,” the Downey Rose Float Association said in a statement. “Downey produces amazing youth who are smart, talented and compassionate. They serve as ambassadors for the Downey Rose Float and the city in many local events throughout their reign.

“We would like to thank all of the volunteers, sponsors, parents and contestants for another successful year.”
