Barbecue at Unsworth

DOWNEY - Residents are invited to a free community barbecue this Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at Unsworth Elementary.The barbecue is the third in a series of outreach events, this time focusing on the Downey neighborhoods north of the 5 Freeway. All area residents are invited to attend and meet city officials and members of the Downey police and fire departments. Information on city programs and resources will also be available, as well as an arts and crafts area for children. Unsworth Elementary is located at 9001 Lindsey Ave.
