Barbecue at Unsworth next week

DOWNEY - The city of Downey is hosting a free community barbecue on Oct. 22 at Unsworth Elementary from 2-4 p.m.The barbecue is the third in a series of outreach events aimed at neighborhoods on the outskirts of Downey. This event is focusing on the Downey neighborhoods north of the 5 Freeway. All area residents are invited to attend and meet city officials, and members of the Downey police and fire departments.
