Beating cancer

Dear Editor:Cancer is a survivable disease but still needs a lot of research to find a cure. I am a 10-year survivor this Oct. 12 and will celebrate this remarkable milestone by attempting a half-marathon in the Long Beach Marathon on Oct. 11.
