Bergschneider was USO performer

DOWNEY - Dominica "Monica" Bergschneider, a USO performer during World War II, passed away April 2. She was 86.Bergschneider worked with the USO during World War II before taking a job with the city of Downey. She was past Grand Regent of CDA, and served as a member of Newcomers Club and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Clarence. She is survived by her six children, Rose Ann, Susan, Kathleen, Donna, Robert and Diana; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her two brothers, Ed and Hank. A visitation was held Monday at Miller-Mies Mortuary. A funeral Mass followed Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She was buried Thursday at Riverside National Cemetery.
