Bus trip to Nevada stateline

DOWNEY - The Downey Sister Cities Association is organizing a fundraiser bus trip to the Nevada stateline Oct. 3 for a day of shopping, gambling and more.Cost is $30 and includes transportation, raffles and a buffet meal at a casino. The bus will depart from behind the Embassy Suites at 6 a.m. and return at 10 p.m. RSVP by calling Paula Mejia at (562) 884-9657 or Armando Juarez at (562) 832-8059. The first 30 people who pay for the trip will be eligible for a $30 gas card raffle.
