Cancer survivors invited to breakfast celebration

DOWNEY – The American Cancer Society and Downey Relay for Life leadership team is inviting cancer survivors to a celebration breakfast Saturday, May 21, at Downey Adult School. 

Doors open at 7 a.m. and breakfast will be served at 7:30. 

After breakfast, survivors will be escorted to the field for the Downey Relay for Life opening ceremonies. Survivors will walk the first lap and then receive a “birthday” cupcake, baked by Warren High’s culinary arts students. 

At 12:30 p.m., complimentary lunch will be served to cancer survivors.
