County officials are reminding residents to safely dispose of hazardous and electronic waste by discarding the materials at a county-sponsored collection event.By properly disposing of hazardous waste items, residents can help prevent stormwater pollution, protect the environment and safeguard local groundwater supplies. County-sponsored hazardous and electric waste events are free and held Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at various locations throughout Los Angeles County.
